Committed to delivering the best experience for clients, Immersive AV partnered with Sovereign Exhibitions at World Travel Market (WTM) 2022 on the Qatar Tourism stand that went on to win the show’s “Best Feature Stand”.
WTM is renowned for displaying inspirational content, innovative technology and sustainable solutions to revolutionise the future of travel.
Immersive AV has been supporting Sovereign Exhibitions, a leading stand builder in the UK, with audiovisual and onsite support for their exhibition stands for the past 10 years. The stand concept for Qatar Tourism’s “Experience a World Beyond” promotional campaign, came from end client OP3.
The Qatar Pavilion boasted two levels, with visitors accessing the upper floor via built-in staircases. The stand featured two meeting rooms, six meeting areas and an experiential entrance like no other.
The entrance featured an immersive ‘tunnel’, whereby the delegate could walk down the middle of a walkway and experience a 360° encounter with the Qatari landscape, culture and heritage. On the left-hand side, a 14m x 3m LED wall was installed, while the right-hand side featured a 12m x 3m LED wall. Immediately ahead, facing the visitor, a 3.5m x 2.5m LED wall was positioned. These three walls were synchronised, with 12k resolution video footage spanning the entire tunnel area. The footage was shot on a 360° camera, giving the audience the illusion of being dropped into the centre, engulfing them in a Qatari journey.
To synchronise every LED wall on the stand, we used four disguise GSX Media Servers. Three of these were live, pushing out multiple 4k signals across the stand, while the fourth server acted as backup. Within the disguise server, we imported the high-resolution video content for each of the individual walls or areas of the stands, split them into smaller 4k signals and sent them to the relevant LED processors.
A total of 688 LED panels across multiple LED walls in a high-resolution 2.6mm product were used to wrap the Pavilion. With a recent investment in additional Unilumin 2.6mm panels, we were confident in supporting the scale of this project. The client also required touch screens that surrounded the real estate of the Pavilion. These incorporated Tizen APP, supported by Samsung and iPads. Elsewhere, other 4K screens were also installed.
